In 2004, friends Jacob and Hayden decided they wanted to start an old-school punk band together. With Jacob on drums and Hayden on bass, they invited Jacob's friend Terry to join on guitar. After a quick shuffle of Hayden to guitar and Terry to bass, The Acid Guns were born.
Over the next two years, the trio would play many venues, add longtime band friend Joey Simmons on lead guitar, and change the name from The Acid Guns to Cosmic Shuffle. However, due in large part to too much partying and a lack of dedication, by 2006, Cosmic Shuffle was done.
Less than a year later, Jacob and Terry decided to start a new band, more of a straight street punk/oldschool hardcore band called The Unstables. They would later add Austin Subverter on guitar and invite Hayden back to sing. The Unstables wrote and recorded an EP, entitled "Fuck The USA". The EP was slated to be released by Creep Records, but for unknown reasons, the label would never make good on the release. The band played one lone show before breaking up.
Almost 2 years later, Jacob and Terry decided to revive The Unstables, this time with a more heart throbbing, fun, feel-good sound. Inspired by their love of bands like Cock Sparrer, Cobra, and the Ramones, they decided to go for an oldschool Oi! band sound. Once again, they asked Hayden to step in on guitar and vocals, and later added the lovely Lindsey Riot on guitar as well.
So here they are, The Unstables! The new and improved lineup features Uber Terry on bass and vocals, Hayden Sux on guitar and vocals, Lindsey Riot on guitar, and Uber Jacob on drums. With their catchy guitar leads, creative bass runs, insane drum fills and twin lead vocals, their sound is better than ever, and signed to Riotous Records, they're ready to release their debut album and remind the world of that amazing feeling that Oi! brought about in the early punk movement.
