Created To Kill probably truly began in the summer of 2004 with longtime friends Steve Forbes and Greg Brewer, both guitarists, who had been trying for years to get a band together. Steve was singing in the beginning, and auditioned Abe Simmerman out to play bass. At his audition, Abe sang a little and sounded great. Steve wanted to concentrate on guitar, so Abe was put on vocals. Abe recommended Joey Eustice to fill in on bass. After a few months Greg lost interest and left the band. Many drummers auditioned, but no one could keep up with speed of the songs written. So the band turned to Brad Jackson, the guitarist for Angerstrike, who created some drum beats on a PC. After that, the band started recording a demo. Then Joey started having problems with the law and began missing practices. After about 2 months it was decided it was best for him to leave. The band then tried for at least 6 months to find someone to take his place, but Kentucky isn't known for having too many death metal musicians. So Abe decided that he would play bass and sing. The first demo, Monarch to the Kingdom of Death, was released in January 2005. There were about 350 copies distributed worldwide through various underground labels. In October 2006, they released a second demo called Sample of Destruction.
Created To Kill has shared the stage with many well know bands, such as Goatwhore, Skinless, Necrophagist, Waco Jesus, Lust of Decay, Eternal Ruin, Cardiac Arrest, Unmerciful, Jungle Rot, Vital Remains, Putrid Pile, Lividity, Embalmer, Gorgasm, Devourment, Mortician, and Impetigo, just to name a few.
